Awards
2009 2008
"Last year The Ranch HOA started a new tradition. Our HOA takes nominations from our residents for awards that are handed out at our annual meeting, Residents of the Year and the Award of Excellence. Both awards are designed to recognize outstanding contributions made to our neighborhood. Specifically the Residents of the Year is given to our residents and the Award of Excellence is given to a business or City Employee. This year I would like to share with you the nomination letters for all our winners." -John Wideman

2009 Resident of the Year - Lynda Moyer

"I nominate Lynda Moyer for Resident of the Year for The Ranch HOA. She's the Landscape Committee co-chair and has worked very hard all year working to insure the patriotic banners & Christmas decor is hung around the neighborhood. She also manages the Yard of the Month gift certificates. Lynda has been a big part in helping change over the seasonal color in the neighborhood beds and has given up many Saturdays to insure our neighborhood looks really nice. Hats off to this incredible resident!"

2009 Resident of the Year - Gregg Howard

"I would like to nominate Gregg Howard for the 2009 Ranch Resident of the Year. Currently Gregg is chair of the newsletter committee, co-chair of the safety committee, and a member of the social committee. He got the newsletter started and continues to write articles, proof articles others have written, and communicates with the Board of Directors and Neighborhood News. As co-chair of the safety/crime watch committee, Gregg attends the monthly meetings held by the Murphy Police Department and fosters communication between the Safety Committee and the Social Committee for National Night Out."

2009 Award of Excellence - Murphy Police Department

"I would like to nominate the Murphy Police Department for the Ranch HOA Award of Excellence. The Murphy Police Department does a great job making sure that as residents that we are safe and that we can enjoy this great city that we live in. Needless to say the last few years have been difficult for the department and the leadership that Chief Cox and the professionalism that the men and women of the department have shown, makes me proud to live in Murphy."

2009 Award of Excellence - Murphy Fire Department

"I nominate the Murphy Fire Dept/EMS for the Award of Excellence for The Ranch HOA. The men and women of this outstanding department have a tough job and work hard serving our neighborhood and the community. I was in situation where I needed their assistance this year and they were respectful, caring, and dedicated to their job. Many thanks to them for their continued support each and every day!"
